If you're on Firefox, switch to Chrome before starting your interview.
Camera or Microphone Not Detected
This is the most common issue and is almost always a browser permissions problem.
In Chrome, look for a camera icon in the address bar (top right of the URL) Click it and select "Allow" for both camera and microphone
In Safari on iPhone, go to Settings → Safari → Camera & Microphone and make sure both are set to Allow
Make sure no other application is currently using your camera or microphone: Zoom, Teams, FaceTime, and similar apps can block access even when running in the background Close them and refresh the page
If you're using an external webcam or USB headset, try unplugging it and plugging it back in, then refresh the page
Restart your browser and try again
Still not working? Try a different browser (Chrome is most reliable)
Poor Video or Audio Quality
Use a stable Wi-Fi connection. If your signal is weak, move closer to your router or switch to a wired ethernet connection if possible.
Close all other browser tabs and applications — especially video streaming, file downloads, or other video call apps — to free up bandwidth.
Record in a well-lit space with light facing you, not behind you. Sitting near a window works well.
Use headphones or earbuds to reduce echo and background noise.
Avoid recording in noisy environments — coffee shops, public transport, and open offices can significantly affect audio clarity.
Interview Froze or Crashed Mid-Recording
Don't panic! Bridge HR auto-saves your progress:
Return to the interview using the original link from your invitation email.
Your previously recorded responses should still be saved. You'll be prompted to continue from where you left off.
If a question was actively being recorded when the crash happened, you may need to re-record that specific response.
If your session shows as expired or you can't re-enter, contact the employer directly. They are able to check your submission status and extend access if needed.
Submission Didn't Go Through
Do not close your browser until you see the "Interview Submitted Successfully" confirmation screen. Closing early may prevent your responses from uploading fully.
If you accidentally closed the browser before seeing that screen, return to your interview link. If the deadline hasn't passed and you haven't used your maximum attempts, you may be able to re-enter and resubmit.
If the link shows as expired or you've reached the attempt limit, contact the employer directly; they manage access settings on their end.
Your Interview Link Isn't Working
Make sure you're clicking the full link from your email — some email clients break long URLs across two lines. Try copying and pasting the entire link into your browser instead.
Check that the interview deadline hasn't passed. Expired links will show an error screen.
If the link appears broken or takes you to an error page, contact the company that invited you and ask them to resend your invitation from their Bridge HR dashboard.
Still Having Issues?
If none of the above steps resolve your problem, reach out to Bridge Labs support:

Note for employers: If a candidate is experiencing a persistent technical issue you can't resolve, you can resend their invite or copy their personal interview link from the Candidates section of your dashboard and send it directly.
